It doesn't matter if she's got babies in strollers or teenagers with attitudes, most moms are dreaming of the day she can escape the family car and drive something sexy and sporty. Here at TrueCar, we certainly understand that busy Moms need transportation that offers versatile space for kids and their gear, but sometimes Moms don't want to be practical. With that in mind, and Mother's Day just around the corner, we thought we'd provide a list of six sexy sports cars for Mom, just in case you really want to indulge her on her special day.

2011-audi-tts-coupeAudi TTS

Take your pick: Audi offers its TTS in hardtop coupe or soft top roadster variants, but because it's a two-seater, Dad will have to take the kids to school in his car. Underhood is a 265-horsepower/2.0-liter turbocharged engine shifted by Audi's six-speed S-tronic dual clutch transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddles, or by a bump to the console-mounted shifter. Mom won't be late to dinner because the Audi TTS promises zero to 60 mph times of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Although the Audi TTS has suggested retail price of about $47,875, TrueCar shoppers can save as much as $3400 or 7% with an upfront pricing report.

2011-Cadillac-CTS-CoupeCadillac CTS Coupe

Mom can drive a gorgeous Cadillac CTS in coupe, sedan, or wagon form, depending on how much space she needs, but we think the two-door coupe is the sexiest of the batch. Sized two inches lower and shorter than the CTS sedan, the coupe wears a more sporty look that's emphasized by LED lightpipes, flush door handles, center-mounted dual exhaust, and hidden B-pillar. Go-power is provided by a standard 304-horsepower/3.6-liter V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission; a manual is optional if Mom likes to shift by hand. The CTS coupe offers EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg on the highway, while still offering spirited 0-60 mph perfomance of about 6 seconds. Sticker for the Cadillac CTS Coupe is about $39,000, but TrueCar shoppers can find upfront pricing discounts of more than $2000.

2011-Mercedes-Benz-SLS-AMGMercedes-Benz SLS AMG

If you really, REALLY want to get Mom a super exotic sports car, consider the all-new 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar. Its super-sexy silhouette is defined by a long front hood, short body overhangs, super low greenhouse, and short tail, but the stylistic highlight of the SLS AMG is unquestionably its gullwing doors. The flagship of the Mercedes-Benz product lineup is powered by a 563-horsepower/6.3-liter V-8 powerplant mated to an AMG Speedshift dual-clutch seven-speed transmission, which helps the SLS AMG accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 3.7 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 197 mph. Not only is it the fastest, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG also the priciest on our list, with a suggested retail price of more than $187,000 -- you might want to start saving for next year's Mothers Day gift.

2011-porsche-panameraPorsche Panamera

The Panamera is the perfect hatchback sedan for those times when Mom needs to carry four people and still desires the luxury and performance of a Porsche. And we do mean performance: The rear-wheel drive Porsche Panamera S and all-wheel-drive 4S are both powered by a 4.8-liter V-8 that produces 400 horsepower, promising a top speed of 175 mph and acceleration from zero to 60 mph in approximately 5 seconds; all while boasting EPA-estimated 16 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway. The Panamera offers indulgent leather seating for four, as well as 15.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up; and 44.6 cubic feet with the seats folded down. The rear hatch features an electric pulldown for when your arms are full, and parking distance sensors for when space is tight. Later this year, Porsche will be selling a hybrid Panamera as well.  Suggested retail for the Panamera starts around $75,375, but TrueCar Shoppers can save as much as $4500 at TrueCar's no-haggle Porsche dealers.

2011-Tesla-roadsterTesla Roadster 2.5

If Mom is looking for something super sporty, super exotic, and super green, and you've got a hundred grand in your budget, consider the electric Tesla Roadster 2.5.  Using electricity stored in a lithium-ion battery pack comprised of 6831 individual cells, the uber-exclusive Tesla Roadster has enough power to travel 245 emission-free miles on a single charge, and offers spirited acceleration from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 125 mph. 2012-Volkswagen-EosVolkswagen Eos

Sometimes, Mom feels like driving a convertible, sometimes Mom don't. Thanks to a hardtop that retracts into the trunk in 25 seconds, the Volkswagen Eos offers up a great convertible alternative with room for four passengers. Its hardtop convertible offers a relaxing and smooth ride whether she's dropping the kids at school, heading off with Dad on a romantic weekend getaway, or just around the corner for a gallon of milk.
